I really think the difference is in how the power is used. 300hp in a 2005 Mustang GT feels correct and adequate. 300hp in a 2005 WRX STi feels like a mountain lion is clawing your face off.

You’re mentally picturing the front as starting somewhere along the windshield line, probably near where the roof ends and glass begins.
I actually do support a different destination charge for the specific vehicle. You can fit a lot more Chevy Sparks on a train and car carrier than you can Chevy 2500 Super Duty extended cab long beds, and if I’m buying a Spark, why should I eat the average cost of transporting a giant truck?
Yeah, exactly. Seeing it go up after a trip on the highway is fun and all, but really it’s more to see if something is wrong that needs to be addressed.
Yep, March 25 2020. 140 miles of highway got me an even 18mpg.
I’m really interested in the 4xe. I’d love nothing more than to pull up to work early in my Jeep to plug into our one charging station before the Teslas get there.
Yeah, mine’s an ‘02.
My overall average since I’ve owned it for the last 18 months or so and 10,225 miles is 14.1. My worst is 11.7 and my best is 18. I attribute the low to it being in the dead of winter and letting it run to warm up. The 4.0 uses a lot of gas when idling.
I care insofar as I track it every time I fill up more out of curiosity than anything. Here’s my record:
99 Subaru Legacy GT Limited. The night I bought it it overheated and needed headgaskets. 3 months in the shop later and 3 months without a car, they replace the headgaskets after replacing everything else that could cause an overheat. They did all of this on their own dime, which was nice, but it was not advisable to…
I don’t think you understood the assignment
Michigan was my vote as well. Driving north from Ohio into Michigan, you can pinpoint where the state line is blindfolded based solely on how hard the suspension is working.
Classic round lights on older Jeeps. I’m not impressed by lifts or big tires and I think stingers are ridiculous. But throw a tasteful amount of round halogen KCs on there and I’m smiling.
Toyota got around back then. There was also the NUMMI manufactured Toyota Corolla/Chevy Nova
GT. If you put those letters at the end of ANY car model name, you know why they’re there.
I don’t like this. Adding only what I actually paid and what I got when I sold them, the net sunk cost is $47,500. That feels better.
Only personal disgust and shame.
+ 1996 Subaru Legacy LS bought in 2002 - ~$8,750

I also really wish the media and police would stop using “civilians” when talking about the dichotomy between the citizenry and the police.
