No one ever would have predicted that in 2017 Tyra would be more relevant than Lindsey Lohan.

I really don’t get people crapping on Anne Hathaway. She’s always seemed so intelligent; kind; well-spoken; humble; NOT assholelish at all. Maybe she seemed a bit pretentious for a hot minute there, I guess? But, like, who gives a crap. That’s pretty harmless, in the grand scheme of things.

Good question. I don’t know, but wanted to at least point out a small step forward after what feels like so many steps back.

I think there’s a difference here between Alex Jones and say, Roman Polanski (and this isn’t a commentary on whether I think we can separate the art from the man in that instance, just where the difference lies). Roman Polanski (or Woody Allen, or Mel Gibson, or hell, Chris Brown or Bill Cosby) made a thing that’s

This! As shitty as all this has been (and it has) are you telling me that this also wasn’t going to be used as a marketing ploy at some point by CBS? Please.

These shows are so heavily edited that I find it hard to believe that the producers could have cut that part out if they had wanted. Just bc it happened doesn’t mean that they had to show it...

Just FYI, the producers knew about Zeke being trans, he told them after he was cast. They discussed how to handle it, with Zeke asking to be in control of the info, and would disclose it if he wanted to. After he was outed, the show worked with him on how to handle the episode, which he chose to allow to be aired the

They also decided to air it. They could have not aired it. I am a reality tv producer we decide to leave things out all the time for the good of contestants. I work on cooking shows though. This was a top down decision to do this. A lot of people probably fought it.

Varner isn’t a tool; he’s a kind person that did a shitty thing in a moment of pressure, distress and in thinking that zeke was being promoted by cbs as the ‘first trans survivor’ and incorrectly assuming he was out on his first season

If you read the NYT article about it Zeke was actually prepared for the strong possibility that he would be outed. But I guess he was still shocked by it.

There’s nothing here beyond what happened. Attempting to blame a reality show for showing real life drama... Might as well be a disapointed trump voted.. what the hell did anyone expect?

Why are you here making sense? I want to ruin a man’s life over here!

It’s hardly the first time someone has been outed in the game. I’m pretty comfortable assuming they signed a contract: what’s said is owned by the show. there’s NO way they could leave that out. And again, did Zeke ask them not to air the clip?

You said this is a WAY nicer manner than I would have.

I hate to blame the victim, but if there is any area of your life that you are keeping secret—you’re gay, you’re trans, you did a stint in rehab, etc.—and you want to ensure it remains secret, perhaps going on a “reality” show is not the smartest move. How could Mr. Smith not have known that that little detail about

Varner is a tool and this was an awful way for this to happen but, how did Zeke himself not realize that going on nantional tv in the days the of the internet might out him?

I wonder why it would happen this season and not last season when he first appeared.

You actually took the time to write that. This comment really happened.

As a passenger, I hope people remember that airlines need to manage their own shit and not ask paying passengers to do it for them.

Exhibit A: Matt Damon!
