This is one of the many reasons I’ve started collecting blu-rays and 4k discs in 2023.

Expecting basic editing on a game journalism site isn’t unreasonable at all. They shouldn’t need to spend more money, because they should already have editors on staff. Come on now.

Ummm... have you been watching what’s happening around here and across the (remaining) G/O sites? I’m surprised they’re still able to keep the lights on, and now you want full-on proofreading and editing and stuff? That costs money, Jack. And I don’t think the check is in the mail.

Meanwhile EA refuses to give us Mass Effect 3's Multiplayer as a standalone.

My take from this recent news is that sony wants to be able to maintain the level of quality they’re known for even with the live service games and that the only way they could do that was to cut back on the number they’re working on. I think it’s a promising sign. But we shall see.

While generally true regarding fan headcanons being obnoxious, I think here it’s more along the lines of fans saying it’s just dumb to give a character whose whole deal is being creepy and mysterious backstory that is all but guaranteed to make them less of both those things.

There’s always hope.

Can we just start calling this the Cycle of Destiny? Every couple of years, players fall off for one reason or another, then Bungie says “sorry, we will make it right.” Then a couple of months later, there will be an article about how Destiny is better than ever and it's the best time to play.

It says you’re a Xbox fanboy.

Hey dummy, you realize this was done internally at Bungie with no involvement from Sony

The Wakanda Salute isn’t the n-word lmao. You can do it.

doesn’t make sense to only have miles do it, he’s half puerto rican and zero percent wakandan. stop dividing (and grouping) shit by skin colour.

Kotaku would like you to know there is a new Spider-Man game out.

Yet everyone is out here celebrating the ActiBlizz sale like it’s not one of the worst things to happen to gaming

It’s not the old console games I’m worried about - look at the always online games. Once they’re dropped they’re gone. Not hard to access, or requiring an emulator - just straight up no longer extant. You can’t play Battleborn or Marvel Heroes anymore, not even on private servers.

Ah yes the PC game on Xbox...oh wait that's not "it's roots" lol.

Haha. I honestly just think its been cancelled either by Disney or Sony. Embracer fucking suck though.

So there are three thoughts to this:

Pure speculation but; it still seems to me that the plan was for Aspyr to get a feel for the games by remastering the duology, then use that experience to fuel a remake. But the jump from touching up a twenty year old game to rebuilding it from the ground up was bigger than they hoped and proved to be beyond their
