Good write-up. Self destruction is the perfect way to address this. I am still amazed at how poorly optimized the game is. When I have more crashes and issues with the game after the 1.0 launch compared to playing day 1 early access to that point there is a problem.

The game is structured like free to play, hands down. I’ve been with the game since week 1 of early access and I honestly feel as though my experience has significantly diminished since it went 1.0 in both experience and quality (crashes, slowdown, etc).

The problem is that Fortnite wasn’t even the first game to do this, so...Fortnite takes queues from another game, again.
