I got a new graphics card! A GTX 1060, 6GB version. I’ve been enjoying FFXIV, and I was tired of the early PS3 polygons on my 7 year old graphics card. So I’ll probably just keep playing FFXIV, maybe buy a newer game to really flex my new digital muscles.

I’m probably gonna check that one out too. The Missouri edition had a graphical glitch where a ton of clouds rolled in. The devs don’t offer refunds either! What a ripoff!

I’m taking a road trip to Kansas City this weekend to attend the solar eclipse, so I will be offline and unable to nurse my FFXIV addiction. Instead, I will be playing FF Tactics on my PSP and Dragon Quest VII on my 3DS. It’ll be nice being offline with all the news I’m sure will occur this weekend.

These Kickstarter tragedies are so strange. For decades, game development happened behind closed doors, beholden only to investors. The best anyone got to see of the development process was interviews in a magazine, or for the dedicated, taking courses in computer science and getting hired at a studio.

I actually tried doing the split joycon thing, and I couldn’t make it work for me at all. Really frustrating experience. But I do like the motion controls with the Pro Controller.

Ha, sorry, Dragon Quest is one of those franchises where I’m never sure if a Western release will actually happen. I did a real fist pump when I saw this article, that’s how excited I am.

Now they can go full circle and release a non-XL New 2DS that still folds in half like we’ve been trained to expect since the original DS. I’d definitely trade my N3DS XL for that.

Right, the cost to scrub one sub slot or three sub slots is the same. So it’s prudent to farm ability chunks by constantly leveling and scrubbing full gear.
