I just got my first post-college job, so I’m feeling like 2017 is already setting up resolutions for me. However, one thing in particular that I want to do is read more prose books. I read tons of comics, and I want to diversify my reading.

I love Overwatch, and I agree with you. For me, it’s all about the competitive multiplayer, nothing more. I can’t see how someone can enjoy the game for an extended period of time if they aren’t into competitive and strategic multiplayer.

Sure, I agree. Maybe it’s helpful to clarify that I do not think trying to reach an empirically correct balance is a good way to go. That creates the circular logic.

See, that’s another way to think about it. Should all things try to represent the statistic reality of sexuality in America/Europe/Western culture? That would mean, as you said, that less than one character in Overwatch is queer, an empirically supported reality. The problem is that it doesn’t really satisfy anyone.

Weirdly, this sort of conversation bums me out, and here’s why:

If the issue is trade dress, it’s their problem that they are defending some extremely basic designs. Black and white cards. Bold helvetica. Fill in the blank mechanics. It’s a sharp look, the most basic possible. It almost seems too basic to defend.

I have to drop the settings on Overwatch nearly to the bottom to be able to play properly. I’m not willing to do that for The Witcher 3. I’m not looking at pretty character models in Overwatch.

Yeah, I’ve had my eye on a 1060 for a while. I’ve got a AMD 6850 (sooooo old). Once I get a stable job, a new graphics card will be in the mail.

I’d install this so fast if I could mod on PS4. My PC can barely play Overwatch at 60fps, let alone a game like The Witcher 3 at 30.
