Same here. FF7 might be the biggest non-launch, system selling game ever. And for good reason.

Yup, same for me. I was a Square fan and we got our N64 before I heard that Square was jumping ship to Sony. I ended up hating Mario 64 and OoT and finally got a Playstation and FF7 in 1998. Never looked back.

I have the exact opposite feeling. I despise the PS1. I think my copy of Madden 99 is still trying to load. Oh, my memory card just died.
