Agreed; the policy in my restaurant was that you went by the amount on the ‘total’ line. Unless that line was blank, which happened a lot, at which point the amount written on the ‘tip’ line was sacred. Yeah. I’m pretty sure that’s the stated aim of their new department - to make games like they used to be made and to thusly entice those who like “simpler” JRPGs.
I didn’t compare the actual look of the games at all really. The camera perspective is kinda similar even if the camera is further away (although comparing 2D to 3D is hard at best). The combat looked similar the way the characters attacked. To be honest I haven’t seen that many games that use that particular system…
Turns out Square Enix’s Project Setsuna—announced at E3 this year—is an old-school JRPG. Looks great. Almost Chrono Trigger-ish? And that music! I’ll take it.
That’s what I reckoned. Yes, but did you know there is some downright DISTURBING (Not that this isn’t)stuff DELIBERATELY hidden in some (notably older) video games? Like Sonic CD... Be sure to watch the whole thing, btw...

I keep getting in on the wrong side of the car too. At one point, Chum asked me if I knew what side the steering wheel was on and if my getting in on the wrong side was the Angel Combustion testing him. I thought it was pretty funny.
