Jez still exists after the various Gawker meltdowns, so how about you take your hypocritical acid-laced tongue and swallow it.

As mentioned by the commentators, the players may have been concerned about seeing an extra basketball messing with their hand/eye coordination and just preferred to get it out of there NOW rather than later. Sometimes athletes get skittish about anything that messes with the normal routine.
I agree. I tried Gwent, but I have set it aside, likely permanently.
I’m not trying to live my life in some kind of yin/yang balance with faceless strangers.
I have never seen a report that the teleprompter includes the names of the winners. The prompter likely says something like [open envelope now and read enclosed card out loud].
The two PriceWaterhoueCoopers partners claim they stuff the envelopes themselves, and that they are careful. I think they’re full of shit, and that they’ve attended their last awards show. They’re probably getting yelled at right now.

I bet she never really loved him enough to get married. And now she’s broken that marriage. No internet advice columnist can fix something like that.
That was deeply uninteresting.
I agree with what you are saying here. It’s not that this post was poorly written. It’s just that I find e-sports uninteresting, especially this kind of behind the scenes wrangling over rules and rights.
Oh I disagree, this post was incredibly boring, and I stopped reading it midway through. Then I made a note to myself to avoid similar posts in the future.
