I’m incredibly happy for Toyota and Alonso and you’re right they can’t control the competition. With that said it’s still a pretty weak field after the Toyota LMP1. I put the blame solidly on the FIA and the WEC. A ton of peeps racing prototypes in the US but the French have to be French and stick to their guns.

4k cams are really not that expensive (especially for a TV producer) but i get your point. 

Teams change the wings’ design every couple races, so their current inventory of front wings is definitely not a reason for opposing the change. Sometimes teams will arrive at a race with only a single wing, so only one of their drivers will get the latest spec.

It’s been a wonderful experience. I really liked having Paul di Resta in the commentary booth with David Croft for the last race. 

The commercial free coverage is great, and the post-race analysis is certainly a little more in-depth and detailed, but honestly I don’t feel like the commentary team is as good as people say. They get by shouting without substance quite a bit and interview wise I feel like Buxton generally got more out of the…

We have had both the new-ish Transit and the last two gens of Transit Connect in the US. I actually think the Transit Connect is kind of.... cool?

I watched the whole thing out of spite. It’s a terrible show. Beyond the fact that basically none of the sleepers were sleepers, the entire attitude portrayed of “built not bought” was so egregiously stupid. Especially when they all lose to a kid in a borrowed Lamborghini.

I watched the whole thing and it was just downhill from Ep.1 with the finale being acceptable. It just kept playing more and more into the reality TV thing, by Ep.4 it was in full swing and somehow managed to pick up more steam.
