It could be interesting to compare it with the 1971 Torino once mentionned at [jalopnik.com] with the FE-428 engine replaced by the "Blue Crescent" family with the 429 ci engine with a 1971 model still party like it's 1969! ;-)
Don't forget the 1983-86 "Aero-Bird" who paved the way to the Turbo Coupe as well as the Taurus. However it seems then this T-bird gens are under the shadows of the Taurus (mainly the SHO version introduced in 1989) and the Mustang.
I spotted this one via DetroitYes forums. Rainn Wilson telling then "Vancouver is the Detroit of Canada!" O_o [www.theoaklandpress.com]
Not then the Canadian teams suck at it but some think they had been cursed by a curse called the "Curse of Marty McSorley" [listverse.com]
Here a off-topic note, I don't know if it could be in 5th gear or even in reverse. The Cobalt moniker is revived in Argentina for a car of the size of the future Sonic model. [carscoop.blogspot.com]
For a moment I taught you travelled in a parralel universe or an alternate universe. ;-)
I think it also happened in 1984 when the Detroit Tigers won the World Series. [www.flickr.com]
I wish the same thing, or even reviving the old Fargo name who was used in Canada and is still in use in Turkey althought Chrysler solded their subsdiary years ago. [truckfax.blogspot.com]
Seem there might be a technical glitch for posting that Youtube clip.
Speaking of Polaroid, I can't resist to post these vintage tv ads featuring the Muppets.
+1, time to remember Checker like this one in the opening credits of "Taxi". R.I.P Jeff Conaway :_(
Lehmann-Peterson, builder of the 1960s Lincoln limousine, did made some customized Mark III 4-door sedan. [auto.howstuffworks.com]
The 1969 Imperial 4-door sedan still have them as well, same for the 1970 model. [www.imperialclub.com] However they lost them for 1971 but they was back as an option for 1973.
Comment of the day! :-)
Sorry for the glitch, here the pic. [img163.imageshack.us]
I scanned these pictures from the December 2009 issue of Collectible Automobile, seems then Ford added the wraparound windshield later in the game. Originally the '55 was planned to got a windshield similar to the 1952-54. Only Lincoln keep the old windshield style for '55.
I completely forgotted that one!
I begin to wonder if it's a kind of a bad omen of things to come for Audi? O_o
A 1979 or 1980 Olds Cutlass coupe did a cameo for a stunt scene in the 1990 French-Canadian movie "Ding & Dong le film", it also features 1 Renault R5/LeCar and 1 Renault Fuego being crashed. [www.imdb.com]
