For nostalgics, here the opening used in the 1960s-70s.

Also, a guy nicknamed gitshigumi posted a interesting comment on the Detroit Free Press then I decided to quote.
All it need is a "car fight" like this one from an episode of "Malcolm in the middle".
A guy nicknamed "fmax" on City-Data posted the following then I decided to quote.
There a talk about it on DetroitYes City-data. Some suggest then the city of Detroit should de-annex some parts of the city. Nice idea on paper but it might be another thing in reality. And more on the table on MLive.
It could be a good candidate for a sleeper if we put a 351W or even a stroked 427ci W or a 5.0 of the later (1985-93) Fox-body Mustang [musclemustangfastfords.automotive.com]
Looks like the ancestor of actual "supertrains" from Japan and France.
And how about the design of the mid-size '66 & '67 Chevelle?
The 1967 Impala wasn't bad either (picture from [www.computersupport.ca] ) .
At least it didn't got the same fate as the Charger at the end of the movie.
As well as this :)
And here a promotionnal movie (in 5 parts) featuring the Chevy II.
Back to 1966, a bit off-topic to the subject, I spotted this intermission movie featuring the mid-size Chevelle. It could be interesting to know why Chevrolet didn't used the BelAir moniker for their new mid-size/intermediate instead of Chevelle while Ford gived a second breath to the Fairlane moniker in 1962 for…
For 1967, the Impala/Caprice body did have more cosmetic changes but the chassis and drivetrain remained the same. I spotted a 1967 ad
I spotted this nice vintage ad on Youtube.
You're welcome :)
+1, and add the Element to the list.
You're welcome :-) and one bonus, a while ago, I did my own attempt of "what if car" by imagine what if there was a "fuselage" 1970 DeSoto then I posted on Deviantart [fav.me]
Also, I spotted on the Forward look a scan from a old Motor Trend issue who speculated about a smaller DeSoto based on the Valiant. Netherless, there was some aborted plans for a 1962 model and some folks imagined some "what if" like that fictionnal '62 Adventurer and someone created his own 1965 DeSoto.
The 1959-60-61 Dodge was designed during the time when Exner was in convalescense after an heart attack. And stylists decided to go in every direction.... for the 1962 plucked chicken, Exner was forced to alter the original design. I spotted what Exner and his team originally planned for 1962 [www.forwardlook.net]
