Here a couple of French-Canadian car ads broadcasted here, this one from 1988 with imitator Andre-Philippe Gagnon for GM imitating 2 popular tv characters from Quebec tv.
+1 Caprice (or BelAir, Biscayne or even the one-year wonder "Delray" used in 1958) althought we have to remember then the Chevelle moniker was also used to 4-door sedans and station wagons as well. On the other hand we could see a "El Camarino" (El Camino with Camaro front end) [www.autoblog.com] ;-)
I agree, as for history, Nathan Altman and Leo Newman buyed the Avanti tooling and rights after then Studebaker moved to Canada during 1964 before the final curtain of 1966.
I wish to see the Blazer and Jimmy monikers revived....

I guess Loverboy's song "Working hard for the week-end" and a Diet-Pepsi might fit perfectly with the van. ;-)
Someone on Allpar forums mentionned this tv ad about the "snowpocalypse".
...Dirty Harry...
...Walker Texas Ranger....
Robocop can't do it all alone, he might need some help from Paul Kersey...
You're not alone thinking about the 2002-06 Camry, some on GMInsidenews did too and one even mentionned the rear of a Pontiac G6 as well. [www.gminsidenews.com]
Here in Canada, the NHL hockey team, the Toronto Maple Leafs are often referred as "Leafs". And seeing how they did over the years since the last time they won the Stanley Cup (in 1967). Maybe that why it sound awkward, lol ;-)
@Buckus: I guess they might menaged to give them a tie. ;-)
@Buckus: I agree, and when they test the Honda vs the competition, some folks even nicknamed it "Honda & Driver".
@Michael Bonkowski: I guess it was back in the late 1950s when cars was overchromed. One guy even did a book called "The Insolent chariots"
@Ravey Mayvey Slurpee: Even more earlier although this kid is a bit older when he drived that Lancia in this mid-to-late 1970s Italian movie. ;-)
Seems then Lupin the 3rd like the new 500 ;-) Picture from [www.autoblog.com]
@Godzilla 2012: Yeah, those "liftbacks" as we knew here was even a rare variant sold when they was new.
