But she's not acting scared of them this episode. She's controlling them and Coulson takes her off active duty and gives her superhero gloves and tells her to practice. The main thrust of the episode isn't even about Skye. May is expressing her fears because of Bahrain (which is a good storyline to explore for her)

I think Skye's getting kidnapped by the Inhumans next week.

I think she's working for Fury or Rogers to infiltrate "real" SHIELD.

They made a comment about Ronan being part of a fanatical sect of the Kree in GOTG. There are also the Priests of Pama which could be introduced. I'm actually expecting the Priests of Pama to be the people Skye's mother trains with and the people who protected Skye as a child when SHIELD/HYDRA came in.

Isn't the Kree solution to everything genocide pretty much though?

I agree with you. Stop mentioning Agent Carter in AOS reviews. Two completely different shows (talk about being a cry-baby).

I liked Carter okay, but to say that it was better written, I mean, how? So broad and clunky. But I'm biased, I really love this show and felt like there was plenty interesting going on here emotionally with how everyone was dealing with loss and the team starting to fray.

Roy and Laurel together seems more Green Arrow and Black Canary to me at this point. I'm happy to watch that show, with them actually getting their asses kicked as they improve as a team and fighters. Also, Thea and Nyssa should betray both of their fathers and run away together.

Yeah, her character is wearing t-h-i-n.

Merlin is wearing a red shirt at this point with his sad backstory. they defanged him.

Giving me weak Grant Ward vibes.

Well, maybe it's because Coulson isn't a misogynist? I don't think it's fair to compare the two shows. They're structured completely differently. Carter is pretty straight forward, and maybe that's what people wanted AOS to be, but it's not.

They certainly were more energetic. AOS uses a lot of martial arts, too, it often feels too choreographed as a result. I wondered if that was part of it. Throwing punches and hitting people in the face with staplers are good times.

I'm not into Waid reducing Coulson to the "ultimate geek". I'm sure that will be an unpopular opinion, but his Captain America card collection aside, what is there to base this on? Even in the t.v. show, his characterization is not that broadly Gary Stu. I prefer the Kot Secret Avengers version which is closer to

I love AOS. If you don't go in trying to put everything in a neat box of tropes, you'll be just fine. Maybe pleasantly surprised, even?

AOS really isn't boilerplate, which is why it disappointed people so much initially, I think. It flips a lot of tropes and has unexpected twists and lots of layers. I think AOS is very nifty, actually, and kind of unique. Carter is boilerplate, and there's nothing wrong with that, but the shows couldn't be structured

Really kind of want this.

You think she's a Russian and part of Leviathan?

Bennett was great this week. What's up with hating on her acting. She did fine in the dream sequence.

Inhumans are the royal family of Attilan and their people. Everyone else is just an activated gifted.
