I stopped reading comics awhile back. It seemed to me that the best stories were those that didn't require being a slave to continuity.

Sure, there have been a couple of cool ones. Mulan's is also cool. But does it really outweigh the drag show/stripper quality of 99% of them?

There are a number of things that could save this show, should they be brave enough to choose them. There are shows that have done a complete turnaround in Season 2. Here is my short list:

Maybe Dazzler in AOS.

Of course Belle wore that outfit in the forest, because this show's costumes are awful. Every time she shows up, I'm like, WHY? Her clothes always look too small for her and like they got a cache of Rampage inventory from the late 90s.

The costumes on this show are horrendous.

Unless Henry turns out to be Robin Hood sent into the future, and Regina is, in fact, about to date her own son. Because, it IS OUAT, you know!

This is the whole problem with making every villain have a "cry me a river" story on this show!

Really self aware at a very young age, always thinking like an adult because she was never allowed to be a kid. I guess it's great, but it shows a weariness.

Yeah, I mean, he's telling her to use a first-name basis after the boyfriend breakup in his slick ride?

The writers get Helena really well. She has no real mission after her dad dies. She's in Purgatory, searching for herself. Very, very true. They totally distilled the DCU character. I think that they could introduce the Question in the future. He would be great on this show.

Women don't get distracted by boobs, they just do a quick evaluation.

Did anyone else yell during the Helena Sara fights, "Just go for the wig!"?

Whelp, apparently I love a lot of this man's work. Cudos, sir!

I say that I want to hear Cooper love himself by saying he wants nowhere near Indiana Jones.

So not necessary. I mean, the original underground comic was definitely dark, but then came the 80s movie and cartoon, which are both really loveable. I get grossed out when a guy like Bay tries to sex it all up, but still hold on to the things that made it pure like gross little trophies. Bay kind of has a gift,

Wonder if what Ollie will learn from this season is that being reactive doesn't work for protecting a city? He's been shown playing defense and two steps behind all season. I wonder if this is what could open him up to the Justice League or networking with other heroes?

Yeah, but Ollie is a poor judge of character who is oblivious to the fact he often asks others to do what he will not. Also, he will sleep with anyone when he has the sads. Therefore, Felicity is too good for him.

Maybe they've learned a lesson that Marvel uses which is you don't have to resolve everything but weave them in and out. After all, it's a universe.

The JLU version is my favorite, but mostly because I find Helena to be incredibly unlikeable and a cold-blooded killer. There is also a great Huntress/Nightwing story written by Devin Grayson.
