I’ve visited a few times and I agree to an extent... it’s a great place to live if you have money OR are there due to your 6+ figure salary. Outside of that, it’s great to visit.

I think you hit the nail on the head.  If you have a lot of money it would be a great place to live.  But I live in a four bedroom house in Cleveland for what it would cost to live in a studio in a shitty part of Brooklyn.

I lived there for three years. Like you said, it’s a great city to visit and a miserable city to live in. Very expensive, very isolating (despite being surrounded by 8+ million people), and very annoying to get around. I still have friends there, and love going down for a weekend, but I would never, ever live there…
