I’m not *super* sold on Faye, and I have trouble seeing anything other than “John Cho in cosplay” for Spike, unfortunately. Really like Jet though! I guess as long as they get the characterizations for each of them right with the writing, I’ll be on board.

This was one of those shows I finally checked out during the pandemic. Watched the whole series over a few weeks on my treadmill and really enjoyed it (I do not generally like anime). Aside from some of Jet’s casual misogyny, it’s mostly aged really well! It’s got a great noir/western vibe. 

I just finished another playthrough of the original last night. So much of the game holds up (other than the sometimes finicky controls and other relics of the fact that it’s a PS2-era game), so it’s great to hear the new one is more of the same but improved. I adore the original and I can’t wait for this sequel.

They actually re-aired Trebek’s first episode during the break between when he died and Jennings’ host run. He was pretty comfortable in the role from the get-go, likely because he had hosted game shows before Jeopardy. He spoke pretty fast, but every host in the 80's did.

It’s not an incorrect take. She described those girls as her daughters, when they are not biologically related to her at all ... leaving people to fill in the blanks that she was their mom, and they would be out on the street if she lost her apartment.

This is like one of those things were yeah Disney sucks, but does it all really matter? Both make more money than I’ll ever see in my lifetime.

Mass Effects biggest issue was giving players the illusion of meaningful choices. Consequences to those decisions became expected, and they obviously were too many or too varied for Bioware to be able to tie together at the end. So then you get to the end where literally nothing you choose in the entire trilogy…

They’ve announced a dock that’ll be sold separately... but I believe they’ve also said pretty much anything with a USB-C connection will do.
