It does seem a weirdly janky application. I get why Steam is a mess, it has lots of features and nearly two decades of cruft. EGS by contrast is a brand new application with limited scope, and it really should be lean and responsive. Kind of disappointing.

I wasn’t familiar with Damian Lewis prior to watching Band of Brothers, and it was really jarring when I saw him interviewed for the featurettes. He really nailed that accent.

But the movie version seems to forget that he should be vulnerable to magic. There’s no way he should’ve been able to resist the Lasso of Hestia when WW used it on him at the memorial. That scene drives me nuts as a result.

True, and it’s really one of the rare cases were dialogue choices have meaningful consequences, heck, even just seemingly ordinary actions do :D

A gem it is indeed!
I was skeptical at first because too much dialogue and key-word based conversation systems usually put me off, but:

I like Lewis Tan in general! But my eyes can’t stop rolling at “MMA fighter Cole Young is the new hero of Mortal Kombat”, which reads like a really bad studio note.

Everything looks promising about the movie except for the lame-ass Poochie of a new character, so whoever he actually turns out to be better be GOOD.

All three are meh. LOL. Both animation styles are so fucking weird looking. It worked for Samurai Jack, but not SW.

No, it’s just the claim it’s more bombastic than anything George Lucas did when the animation quite frankly comes off to me as stilted and... rather dull almost as though it’s trying to use its “stylised” look to make up for that lack of things happening.

Haha. I said I’ll watch it! I’m open-minded! But being better than the CG series (as a whole, not the first season) is setting some high expectations. And Star Wars fans know high expectations lead to anger, etc etc...

I mean, I haven’t watched it since 2003 and recall thinking it was dreck and those practically silent clips, where half the time only one object moves at a time, hasn’t convinced me otherwise.

That’s a very dangerous line of thought. Group punishment is, without exception, never acceptable. Now in this case the consequence for the rest of the team was unavoidable, and that falls squarely on “Wrigley’s” fault. What he did there should absolutely be no tolerance for.

im the total opposite, i really like the battle system here and wish they could replace the usual turn-based combat in future. The good storyline is a bonus. And the new characters are well done too
