I’d say the bigger problem is the question as to how long they will continue to run the online component and what happens to the game when they stop.

Yeah, they did that here in the Seattle area. They sold off some stores to another company to satisfy the anti-trust, waited for them to get into financial trouble and then bought them back, probably for less money.

Getting dumped with no companions and almost no story to run out that game was a crime. It was mechanically better in every way.
