As someone that has purchased a gun at a gun show, there aren’t any damn loop holes. That’s a myth. Each retailer has on-site background checks and they have to process sales through the national registry / background system, like every other gun store.
The guns were purchased in NY, and “going to another state” doesn’t exclude you from your states laws. Going across a border doesn’t mean much when it comes to the purchase and registration of a gun.
