If you follow the narrative and the light of the grace, everyone moves zone to zone, pretty much together. They mostly move from limgrave to liurnia, to caelid, to altus, etc.

It’s farming. You can get a ridiculous amount of runes from players joining and quitting your game. High level players are worth hundreds of thousands of runes, and once in a while, millions.
