FUN FACT: When I was a 16-year-old dumbass I had a TRD badge on the trunk of my first car, an automatic Toyota Corolla, because I was REALLY INTO CARS and had seen The Fast and The Furious way too many times. (I'm not proud of any of this.) But now Toyota thinks actual TRD tuner models can lure in the youths.

Here are some things I hate about this "review":

[Yes, Porsche did make an 'RS' version of their last aircooled 911. This is the 1995 3.8 liter 993 Carrera RS. It was too awesome to be sold in the United States. Photo: Porsche]

I love 911 people who say this every time something changes.

Buy a 991 GTS with the 7-speed manual. That'll go up in value. Especially considering the mid-cycle 991 LCI will be minor, leave for the new turbo engine.

No joke. I think the 991 is the best 911 iteration. By far. And I'm a Corvette guy and never liked 911s. I love the exterior. I love how the body looks like one complete piece, instead of a bunch of pieces bolted together. Really, a beautiful car in every way. I think your 997 will go up in value, for sure, as well as

Remove the back seat and some of the sound insulation.

Maybe it's for people who want a better looking 911 cab for a daily driver and don't care about the weight one bit. Maybe they have enough money to own a GT3 cup car on a trailer for the weekend so they can make all of us super jealous. Maybe it's for opening Champagne at stoplights... and cocaine, lots of cocaine.

I liked the elegance of the last Targa a lot better. DAT FULL-GLASS ROOF.

It seems completely gimmicky. I prefer the giant sliding glass roof of the previous Targa. More opening, simpler mechanism, no stupid brushed metal roll hoop. Great for someone who can't justify a true convertible, no stashing roof panels or removable hardtops.

This. I have a hard time because I think some of his cars are interesting, but I don't see the amazing craftsmanship that people talk about. Nakai San is bolting on parts to the car and lowering suspension to make it look "cooler". I see nothing different with what he is doing to what the 17 year old boy racer who
