There is no way this is how their development works.

DC is part of Warner Bros, not the other way around. It would make no sense to reveal a Harry Potter game at a DC event for the same reason it wouldn't make any sense to talk about the Muppets at a Marvel event.

If I’m understanding this correctly, does this mean that a game like Super Mario RPG is still compliant with these rules? While it does use a lot of Mario characters mostly unmodified, it introduces a lot of new characters (including the antagonist) that aren’t particularly derivative from the Mario ecosystem.

That was me for Persona 5. I really enjoyed the game, but by the end of it, I was just ready for it to be DONE and start something new. Somewhat related: there’s a VERY good chance I have ADHD! What a coincidence!

Honestly, the best comic cutaways I’ve ever seen are in the Lord and Miller adaptations. Also, the line, “we’re going to fight so hard, words are going to appear out of nothing!” They are the only ones who get it. 

Exactly what i bought it for. Never played the online part of it. The single player and world alone are amazing to explore and do stunts in. On the one hand I agree re: Sephiroth, but on the other, I think it could be a way for them to enhance the idea of Sephiroth/The Reunion being in Clouds subconscious.  Also it could make the moment when the real Sephiroth is revealed hit a bit harder.
