I mean I figure it was just a cost saving measure so they could film it at the same time as the big fight scene without wardrobe changes, but it worked!
Has this poor girl ever even been in a normal relationship? Not to knock Nyssa, but that started with Sara half-dead and heavily traumatized, and did involve a minor case of parental kidnapping. Besides that she’s gone on vacation with her sister’s rich boyfriend (to...mixed results) and flirted a bit with a career…
The sixth totem was inside of us all along.
Zari’s also gelled really well—she makes such a great dry counterweight to the more over-the-top members of the team. I loved her exasperation with Ray and Nora’s theater nerdery and her curt “No” when Nate tried to get her on his side about Kuasa.
Have to disagree with the Flash cameo. Maybe in a more lighthearted episode, but for me it kind of undermined the tension in what was supposed to be a suspenseful episode. The only way this whole separate-but-connected universe works is if it keeps up the “out of sight, out of mind” approach. If Barry can apparently…
I think Alex’s behavior would have been a bit more understandable if it was due to her being rattled by Reign nearly killing Kara. Having it be about Maggie was...weird. I almost feel like they’re trying too hard to keep their promise that Maggie won’t be forgotten. At this point, Alex has spent nearly as many…
Not just an actual DC comic, but HER comic--both Grace and Anissa were introduced in Outsiders.
So Sam can bleed—that makes me wonder if we’re headed for a “Ben is Glory” situation where the team realizes that the only time Reign is vulnerable is when she’s Sam. Which could of course lead to someone pulling a Giles so Kara doesn’t have to kill her friend.
Of course there’s the other option, where a medical drama avoids specifying anyone’s age but still casts people in their early 20s to play full blown doctors (*cough* House *cough*).
Actually she was still in school when J’onn found her—he mentions her transcripts. I’m not sure they’ve ever stated what degrees she’s actually completed, but they’ve been treating her like a medical professional for a while now.
I’ve been assuming Hiram hired him to prove to Veronica that Archie can’t be trusted, but I like all these ideas better.
I hope one of these years they take a note from Agents of Shield and split the season into 2-3 story arcs. It’s a lot harder to tire of a villain if they’re only around for half a dozen episodes.
This is technically his second mention if we count props!
I totally buy Mon-El bringing Bon Jovi to the future.
Yeah that DNA part was just...what? Why would they even add that justification? “We’re superheroes in the future, if we die in the past it could jeopardize the timeline” worked just fine. And for Alex--who is supposed to know something about biology--to just quietly accept it all was extra dumb.
I agree this would have been better handled as a two-parter. Oliver’s swan dive into paranoia probably would have landed better if they set it up a little more—make us really feel the fear and betrayal—but with the crossover I guess they just didn’t have time. Instead we find out about the traitor from a brief line…
There’s the virus Pokerus...but it’s actually beneficial to get because it makes your Pokemon grow stronger faster.
I cracked up at how Sara and Sharpe’s flirting was almost a perfect mirror to Sara and Alex’s meeting, down to Sara’s curious head tilt at the “I’m not really the husband kind” line.
They cut a pretty cute scene of Barry and Iris getting their honeymoon interrupted.
