We remember! We remember shit that Pepperidge Farm doesn’t.

Against my better judgement, I kind of like the guy. He’s like a ruthless 1%er who happens to have evolved views on gay marriage. He seemed out of place with the rest of them and admired the fact that he genuinely despised Steve Bannon.

I think it’s worth noting that John Waters sees poor white people as his people, which is why he can portray them in ways that are both truthful and kind. No one who ever for a second looked down on a population and judged them could ever manage to do that.

That’s interesting. I wonder, how awful can a person as young as she would have been preparing for the Olympics be to a parent and still get to the level at which she competed?

“(Worth noting that John Waters—the king of camp—regularly depicts low-income white Americans in fun and silly ways yet somehow always manages to be kind.)“

Sometimes we laugh at horribly uncomfortable things. Tonya Harding did participate in and give her blessing to this film, which is more than can be said about Christina Crawford when she saw her (genuinely harrowing) memoir about life with her abusive mother turned into high camp.

None of those people are supposed to serve the interest of the President. Their oath is to the Constitution of the United States, not any person.

It’s an old one, or at least I used to date a man whose guy friends used that term for women. I really wish I had a time machine and could talk to my younger self.

I use the word ass instead, because it’s what I like.

Of course he did, I don’t know why anybody is surprised we are all clearly living in hell/the upside down/the darkest timeline

She’s not rejoicing, I’ve been driven out of jobs I loved (by non-sexual harassment) and of course the scum were fired after I left, and it made me so angry no one gave a flying fuck while I was the one being shit on.

It was really brave of Bambadjan Bamba to speak publicly about his immigration status. I hope he doesn’t face any negative consequences for it.

His disgusting Ann Hathaway interview where she’s there to talk about les mis and he leads with “I’ve seen a lot of you lately.” Alluding to the violating upskirt photo making the rounds... and she doesn’t acknowledge it so he presses until she has to respond. He’s a cretin and I hope he suffers greatly financially

Yep. Processing.

Maybe it’s because I’m in a weird place, what with it being the end of the semester and nuclear war seeming imminent, but I teared up reading Bamba’s statement. How incredibly brave of him to be so candid about his status. I hope it gives some anti-immigrant fans of his acting pause. And I hope more people start to

I stopped watching Today after they fired Curry. They treated her like shit.

Yeah, I think Meredith Viera worked so well because she could give it right back to Lauer. Ann Curry just didn’t have time for it. Savannah Guthrie just giggles and preens and plays the role Lauer wanted her to have. I liked Meredith and Ann. I cannot stand Savannah. I stopped watching Today when they brought her on.

She’s a good reporter. I always thought she was too much of a newshound to fit into the morning news anchor chair—not that I thought she couldn’t have done it, just that it was a waste of her talent to make her do cooking segments. It was awful to see what Lauer and Co. did to her. I hope she is getting nicely

I always really liked her, and I know one of her former producers who only had great things to say about her. As for being a coanchor, I think that was just the wrong seat on the bus for her. She’s news, not chit-chat.

“Were not here to take away your jobs.
