Agreed. That’s part of what I really like about the original. The humor is dry for the most part (thanks to Bill Murray) and the movie treats the premise almost so seriously. The characters take themselves seriously despite it being a goofy premise. The remake/reboot almost feels like it’s a spoof, it’s so goofy.
