I’ve begun a different tactic, I now point and laugh when I see an open carrier, and then tell my daughter loudly, “look sweetie, that man has a small wiener”. It’s fun for everyone except for the jackass who felt the need to bring a gun into Baskin Robbins.

Guns! We got guns. Guns in our Jell-o, guns in our hello! You want a gun, we got guns. Look at this. This is a genuine, an-anodyne, very fine AC-450, with sexual safety and a g-spot you’ll never find. And here: a vest to protect your rest as you shoot this fine genuine find. You want guns? We got guns on spikes.

That’s a common misconception. The Wild West actually had a lot more gun control than we do today. When you entered towns like Tombstone or Dodge City you had to turn your guns over. Carrying guns, concealed or otherwise, was forbidden.

NRA - “It’s all Obama’s fault, because he didn’t stop a person who was investigated for potential terrorist ties from getting a gun!!!”

While our friend Wayne may indeed be a walking advertisement for birth control, to his credit, he still wasn’t so cool with Donald Trump’s proposal that clubgoers armed to the teeth could have stopped the Orlando massacre: “I don’t think you should have firearms where people are drinking.”

Funny thing... I’ve never experienced more homoeroticism than when I was in the Army. Funny culture going on in the military.

I can agree with the idea that the more intractable ignorance gets amplified in the Corps, no doubt, seen it happen. However, I doubt these guys are gonna get off with a slap on the wrist. This is an ass whoopin’ offense. It violates about 7 sections of the UCMJ and, since its viral now, is pretty much gonna

When filling out paper work for background checks on a gun “have you been dishonorably discharged from the military?” No more second amendment right for him. I'm pro gun but fuck that guy

A highly disingenuous comparison given that the introduction of seatbelts and airbags can be correlated with a decline in vehicular fatalities whereas the introduction of the TSA has no similar correlation in the decline of aeroplane terrorism - the very first reason being that vehicular deaths compared to driving

We also haven’t had iphones or a good understanding of Gravity Waves for that same period, TSA isn’t needed. Airport Security is, and perhaps AT MOST have TSA supervise private contractors. But make them competent security monitors. You really think Canada is that less secure? The UK is that backwards or has less

Interesting debate - is Kabuki security better or worse than Noh security?

Seatbelts and airbags tend to have a slightly better failure rate than 95%

One time, taking a flight, TSA missed the pocket knife I had in my carry-on. But by some inexplicable logic they delayed the flight half an hour by detaining the pilot because he had nail clippers in his bag.

And we’re measurably safer with them. Can the same be said about the TSA?

Yep they missed the vanilla in my bags from Mexico 3 times but the brand new ratcheting screwdriver got inspected everywhere-they just get so damn giddy when they find a bottle of water

As it is now? They are a detriment.

kabuki security

Vast crowded lines makes me feel safetier though.

All I need is a quick ocular patdown to assess the situation.

TSA is now and always has been bad kabuki security. Barely trained employees stare at screens and paw around in luggage without a clue as to what they are looking for or what do if they found something. I would rather have an experienced bar bouncer doing airport security because at least they have a bullshit detector
