Yeah, there’s only one outlier rating-level for the show, and it’s the 1-star reviews. It’s unlikely many of the people trying to “get her down to 1 star” are giving her 2 stars...so it’s very telling that MOST of her 2-5 star reviews (85 out of 157) fall there.

Literally the dumbest overall team play I’ve ever seen in basketball. The brainless foul (literally dumber than the CWebb TO, albeit with much lower stakes) and not one but TWO unforced “Curry” 3s. Just indefensible.

If widespread, it’s great that they’re finally getting roles broadened. As that 2nd link shows, as of 2014 the roles Latin Americans were offered were still the most likely to be based on a stereotype.

Compared to their percentage of the US population, Latinx Americans are far more underrepresented in American Cinema than are Asian Americans. One can form arguments about why that are just as jaded in their correction as the sorry actual truth (e.g. studios seeking $ in Asian markets, half of Latin Americans are…

If they even get hired at all! Literally no other group is even close to as underrepresented in American cinema as Latin Americans.

As opposed to the long list of comedy series that remained good for more than one movie? It’s a tough trick to pull.

Look at the county voting map. Nationally—including in California—it is rural vs. urban, not red state vs. blue state. HUGE swaths of California went for Trump, in dominant fashion. The same with most of the geography of Oregon and Washington, and tons of other states what went for Hillary.

Your post is a lovely reminder to remember human empathy. These conversion camps are so horrifying that it’s easy to forget that, however astonishingly misguided, the parents sending their kids to these places do so with good intentions. Thank you. I’m going to go hug my son.
