At my organization, we have a costumed mascot that makes appearances at our annual meetings. There are electric fans and slots for icepacks built into the suit to help with cooling, and, even so, the body odor in the changing room is beyond toxic.

If you want to be able to have one carrier on station at all times, you need three carriers for that role (maintenance, crew rotation, etc). If there are four places in the world you want to have a carrier on station at all times, you need twelve in your fleet.

Pretty much. I figured beforehand they would just get blown out, and I was prepared for that. I expected it to be 28-3 or something like that at halftime, and I could just turn the TV off and go to bed early. I think I would have preferred that to what actually happened.
