Yeah, but it’s also a huge middle finger to Heinlein and his politics, so there’s some redeeming value there.

Worst case, you get someone pulling data from the buffer, getting things like your W-2s (if you printed them out.) I forget if they have to be sitting on the printer to get that or if the data’s available after the fact, but, yeah, losing stuff like that is extremely bad news.

Which one?

Or, why isn’t it mimicing something like Far Cry’s weapon wheel. Four slots, one’s a sidearm, and the rest can be whatever?

In fairness, Champions Online is pretty much on life support at this point, or was, last I checked.

Well, it worked for me.

Forsaken makes the weapon situation even stranger, because any weapon class can show up in either slot. There’s now kinetic sniper rifles, SMGs, and shotguns. Meaning you can end up with a loadout that doesn’t even use standard ammo.

I legitimately had to look it up, but, yeah, you’re right, they are still charging for the base game before you can slap Forsaken on that.

I thought Far Cry 3, 4, and 5, did okay with their 1887 variants. Actually, kinda miss the sidearm version from FC4 in 5. Stupid and impractical? Sure. But it was an interesting loadout option.

Legit problem with semi-auto shotguns, using specialized rounds sometimes don’t provide enough pressure in the chamber to cycle the action, meaning the user has to do it manually. Not what we’re seeing here, but, you know.

“No, I also didn’t use the toilet paper because you wrapped it in plastic. I just smeared everything on the wall like goddamn modern art.”

The stream, effectively, becomes free advertising. To an extent, that’s already true of less shady streams. Streamers are, at some levels, just a front-line sales position, when it comes to the game they’re presenting. And, that’s where the money comes in here.

Tragically, Steak n Shake isn’t a national chain. I haven’t been to one in almost a decade, because they don’t exist on the west coast.

“We fed the entire career of Steve Blum into an AI.”

I mean, the alternative would be like that icetSVU bot on Twitter.

Nah, it’s impossible to emulate that level of laziness with an AI.

The book series is complete. Have been for years. I think they’re even all available in English, though I’m less sure of that.

No, or at least, not quite; that’s what happened when they lost control of the spin.

Evidently? No. Or if that is the setup, they were in a position to act as trustees with the account. Either way, they were able to get access and scamper off with it.

I wouldn’t recommend TSW today. First off, last time I checked, it’s no longer possible to create a new account for TSW, Funcom relaunched the game as Secret World: Legends, which uses the same assets and maps, but is actually a different MMO. Legends’ combat system has been improved, so it’s now just bad, instead of
