I hate it for the same reason that I can't sleep with the door open. It just feels wrong. Gives me the heebies.

Obviously not a deal-breaker because I married the guy, but my husband poltergeists the kitchen just about every time he does anything. Like, every cabinet door is just wide-open. Makes me feel twitchy just thinking about it.
A lot is in the ground, but we have pots of basil, cucumber, tomato, and peppers, too. You just have to be a little more diligent about watering.
If you are really set on a certain kind of birth, look into getting a doula who can advocate for you when the time comes.
Yes! Well, my husband is. (I am only allowed to water. The black thumb. I have it.)
Does that work for the adventure board not giving any adventures? Because I haven't played in MONTHS due that freaking bug.
Omg, no, but what traits did you assign? I'm assuming Voldie is in the Criminal career track, yes?
I always make a very attractive sim (usually female) with traits that will help her achieve a lifetime wish. Then I find her a mate (or make her one) that is also attractive and has good traits for a lifetime wish. Then I make them have perfect little children in perfect little houses. I am a super boring sims…
In the last story on here about leaving kids in cars, a situation was mentioned in which a father left his toddler in the car and drove to work. The car alarm went off several times during the morning due to the motion sensor, and he just clicked it off from his desk. If you already believe your kid is at daycare,…
You know how sometimes you can walk into a room and then have to think back about why you went in there in the first place? It's because crossing a threshold actually impacts your brain, like accessing a different "room" of knowledge. Combine that phenomenon with a change in routine, like a different parent doing…
I can see it. I have definitely left the house once or twice with purse/work bag/daycare bag in hand, but baby is still hanging out in the living room. I've read that crossing a threshold has an actual impact on your brain, which explains the phenomenon of walking into a room and forgetting why
A lot of car seats have 'wings' and padded areas around the sides, which means a kid wouldn't be visible. If they were asleep from the drive (and thus not moving around like a dog might) and/or the windows were tinted, I can see how no one noticed.
Lol. I have a vivid memory of being on vacation when I was 12-ish and trying to use a tampon for the first time so I could go swimming. I was in the bathroom, staring at the instructions and crying because I couldn't figure out WHERE to put the damn thing, and my mother was on the other side of the door yelling, "I…
OMG I love everything about this commercial.
Have you been watching Orphan Black? Not really a "lovable loser," but the main character Sarah Manning is an anti-hero type who can be an asshole even though you're still rooting for her. SO many good female characters on that show.
Bubbles was mine! Especially in the episode where she tried to prove she was 'hardcore.'
Easy fish dish that feels super-fancy: Get some butter. Lots of butter. Season some tilapia with salt and pepper, and cook it in the butter until you see it go white up the side, then flip and cook the other side for a minute. In a different pan (because it takes a bit longer), saute some fennel and onion in…
She should charge, and the fee should be steep enough that parents won't just shrug it off. My daycare charges something like five dollars a minute, I want to say. (I'm always there an hour or two before closing, so never been charged the fee.)
It was real and I loved it.
I feel you. I have a 14 month-old, my first and only, and my husband and I are both on the fence about another one. I also am a MUCH better mother when I am working. I teach, so I stay at home with him during breaks, and I... miss daycare. :(
