They don't have to make it a Lee/Kirby throw back to make it the Fantastic Four. The FF are at their best (and also, most popular) when they are written as light hearted adventurers with family drama. To me, this movie just comes off as generic superhero and its frustrating because it could be so much more than that.

I like how he season was structured.We have this being the capstone on the first story arc that introduces everyone and establishes the Kingpin as an almost insurmountable villain for Daredevil. It sets up the latter half of he season so well and creates one hell of a pay off.

I love that his first confrontation with Fisk was verbal. It's so true to their relationship In the comics, and it only serves to make their inevitable physical confrontation more impactful. Great scene.
