Exactly, Cap is always at his best when he is confronted with how much the America of reality clashes with what he believes America should be. This story does that so well.

Born Again would be perfect for the second or third season of this show. It truly is the definitive Daredevil arc and if it is adapted well it could be an absolutely fantastic season of television.

Yeah! I just re-read it yesterday and I forgot all of the Cap stuff in 232 and 233. Considering how poor I find MIller's Superman to be, I was surprised to find that he wrote such a good Cap.

I didn't like Brubaker as much but it was also very good. I was quite fond of the Daredevil in prison stuff.

Agents of SHEILD also got very good this season? I mean, this site has raved about several episodes as well.

Bendis books read really well in trade paperbacks, but reading month to month is rough. He consistently writes issues that consist entirely of conversations that only serve to set up future conversations. Sometimes they contain good character beats but still…its a bit much.

I've seen other places rave about it, so I wouldn't be to disappointed.

I'm so glad you mentioned Nocenti. I feel like her run gets overlooked a lot but I really adored it. I also loved Bendis' a lot more than I remember liking it when it first came out. Maybe his recent work has negatively colored my opinion of him.
