Yeah, that mechanic makes little to no sense to me. I rarely ended up using my secondary weapon to be honest, and I didn't realize that the ammo disapeared when you switched it around until last night. Very odd. The items that replenished supply weren't too expensive though, so I am not overly bothered by it.

I really wish they opened up a new area in the beta. I like the gameplay a lot and I am excited for the full game..but I had my fill of Old Russia in the Alpha. Its unfair of them to tease a mission on the Moon but have it locked.

Destiny Beta time! Played it for a few hours last night and really got into its groove. The look of the game is fantastic and I love the feel of the combat. I'll be sinking a lot of hours into this beta, and then even more once the game is released in September.
