Just guessing here, but maybe part of it is that they need a heavier/safer vehicle to prevent being killed by other SUVs and to be able to PIT those SUVs more readily during pursuits. After all, there are many more SUVs on the roads now, and surely that means more crims are using them. Just speculation, though.

Thank you, Orlove, for supporting this. We need to denounce street racing and general douchery like this as much as possible in the most public venue possible. Show the general public, and street racers themselves, that their behavior is unacceptable by the automotive community at large.

By that logic, we shouldn't have a witness protection program, and that the mob has a right to kill anyone who goes to the cops. It's possible that those who are concerned are not capable of physically confronting the perp, and so go to a higher authority who is. I know I wouldn't last long in a fight without a gun (I

I wonder if those "mild manners" will be able to be tuned out, like with the Boss 302's Track Key. Wanna make it feel like it actually has 662 hp while idling? Flip this switch. I'd want it loping and shaking like crazy if I actually had that much power.

It would seem odd to me to hear that they would be using Bondo on the production line, but there was a Shelby article last week that said that Unique Performance used 13 gallons of Bondo per Shelby replica on average.

Wow, listening to the slow-motion sound of that motor makes it sound like a B-17 idling. Good work on the recording, usually slow motion sound is digitally stretched so it just sounds shitty. But this does it amazingly.

Earlier they just had 997 panels stuck all over it just to give some semblance of a car. Just be glad that they have it's own body panels on it now.

Gotta make sure it stays sanitary for long periods of time, though. Add a splash of vodka to it. Or better yet, Everclear.

Today, I was debating which car to bring to Woodward this evening. Now, it is settled. In honor of the man himself, I will be bringing my Shelbified 1965 Mustang Coupe to the street.

I hear you, that's kinda why I've done Mustangs. Cheap, easy power.

After hearing your list of cars that you've owned, I've noticed a propensity towards imports and compacts. Not that it's a problem, but coming from a NASCAR commentator, it seems backwards. That said, are there any full-size cars or muscle cars that you would want to get in the near future?

Thing is, this road isn't really a thru road, but it services my neighborhood and a park. It goes to my road with "NO LEFT TURN" signs all the way down, then ends at a park. Mind you, there's no right turns, since it's all park on that side. So, I would have to go down to the park's parking lot at the very end, turn

Yesterday, I turned left. Apparently, you aren't allowed to turn left onto my street between 3 and 6 pm. The officer only said that "Neighbors were complaining." It would appear that there's no real reason for it.

I would think that just using a sandblaster would be cheaper than hiring 20 guys to sit around for hours on end chipping away at paint with axes.

I think it does rise up, but it's meant to be sort of a cushion, so you just bend the wheel, and don't impale yourself on the steering column. I'm pretty sure that the steering column is hardened steel, and all one piece. It's not collapsing for you.

Huh, that's where I was this weekend. The flooding was pretty bad, with I-75 being shut down and several roads impassable. The golf course near Kettering was completely underwater. But yeah, I wouldn't blame him for not wanting to continue.

Sounds about right.

Yep. A company can either raise prices or suffer a cut to profit margins (or lay off workers and downsize) to counterbalance an increase in taxes. Also, I wish that the government would take note of this graph, which plots tax revenue vs. median income. There's very little correlation between revenue and tax rates,

Agreed. I've heard a few ideas, like setting all taxes at 15% for individual and corporate taxes, no deductions.

I thought that "eco-" was for ecology, like ecosystems and all that.
