I hated them for the first five years I knew they existed, but then they grew on me. I imagine them with an extra 6 inches in the nose behind the rear wheels, and it looks so much better.

Just cruising up next to a car, then next thing you know BAM! It's a quarter mile away. Must have one hell of a chiropractor to deal with his passenger's whiplash.

Bucket seat?

Agreed, except my cranks are pretty tough. Gotta pull them out and rebuild them.

Auxiliary jack in the radio. Or USB jack. That way I can plug in my Android and listen to Pandora or my music library, no fumbling for CDs required.

Canucks be racing

Point 1: typical engines are most efficient in the 1500-3000 rpm range at 3/4 load. So you'd have to design the system around that. And naturally, if efficiency is what you're going for, use a diesel. With a turbo. So, to just continuously maintain a charge in the batteries while running at those levels, you'd want to

You didn't share the armrest! You know what they say about people that don't share, and what they do to children!

Besides, you could also do regenerative charging fairly easily, I would assume. Hills less of a problem then.

My dad would let me shift his truck. I'd be in the passenger seat, and moving the lever when he told me to. Felt like I was doing something super special. I suppose I was...

Hear! Hear! 6'1" frames are not built for airline seats. Pretty much always end up sticking a leg into the aisle just for some leg room.

YOU DIDN'T LISTEN TO THE SAFETY LECTURE, DID YOU? Only terrorists don't pay attention to how to buckle a seat belt!

What about possibly using a small turbine engine, a-la Jaguar C-X75? Just let it run continuously, doesn't necessarily have to fully charge. Or run it through capacitors...oh the possibilities and technology of all this stuff.

You should build a concept. An electric car isn't too hard to build. Maybe just put a generator in it and hook that up to the battery pack. Insta-plug-in hybrid!

Ah. Point taken.

Just think...95 mph would be ok! And you might get away with 100 mph pretty easily! But then, if I'm actually going places with no real time constraint, then I'll probably stick to about 75 anyways. For fun? Hell yeah I'll do 95!

Or not, because those aren't mechanical, nor used for transportation. Most car guys have a passing fancy for planes, because they too are fast and mechanical in nature. Try again.

Now I actually want to hear Madden do that script, complete with the drawing on the screen until it's all red with squiggles. Oh, and #COTD

Watched the next video in the que, which was pronunciation of onomatopoeia. Bad idea. If it was the morning or late afternoon, there might have been coffee all over my monitor.

WA-131 on the East side of Mt. St. Helens. 40 miles of curves. Plus many more getting there and back.
