I’m still floored that it’s Jane Wiedlin playing Joan of Arc in Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure. A fact which had somehow eluded me until last year, despite it being among my favorite movies. (Apparently, she’s also the singing telegram girl in Clue. A short but storied career in cinema.)

This is your takeaway from what you just read?

These assholes absolutely know that their product is, at best, sleazy AF and, at worst, downright dangerous. I for one am just thrilled that a bunch of far-right nut jobs can find my home address with ease. Capitalism!

“And entrepreneurism is not something that’s totally black and white.”

Depp is suing Heard in the US for $50m regarding an open letter she wrote.

Libel law is different in the UK, the defendant has to prove the statements were true and Depp doesn’t have to prove them false.

Fucking hell that closing argument session was just a step by step guide as to why most women who are abused don’t come forward. One minute the lawyer is criticising her for going to court for a restraining order as a “publicity stunt” yet then criticising her for not getting law enforcement involved as “curious”,

“Can I borrow 20$, I promised the guys I’d get beer.”

Florida health officials say that the reopening of Disney World, Universal Studios, and other theme parks have not caused any covid-related outbreaks.”

Guarantee he’s orchestrated at least one abortion for a former girlfriend or current mistress. I was going to say paid for, but no... he was probably just owed a favor or something shadowy.

Two hiring anecdotes I totally believe:

Remember when Penn Gillette was shocked that people weren’t wearing masks out of Libertarian idealistic self preservation or whatnot? Yeah, I don’t know what dream state you live in, guy, but here in reality we know John Gault was an asshole.

Stein and Johnson alone took away enough votes from Hillary in 2016 to give Trump wins in a lot of the swing states because the margins were so thin. What some folks call being idealistic and voting with their conscience is just beyond me when a prick like Trump is involved.

Also see: third-party voters.

Retail sales have remained steady through the pandemic precisely because people have money to spend. The more people who get to participate in discretionary spending = more money in the economy = more jobs.

And “liberals” that refused to vote for anyone but Bernie because they “had to stick to their beliefs”. Having your head up your own ass and ignoring what other people are going to have to deal with, that’s not a moral decision. It’s ego.

The best analogy I’ve ever seen is the $10 leather couch.

We need to extend unemployment benefits.

Fuck you if you voted for any Republican, from President down to municipal dog catcher. It’s all your fault.

We’re eating him first, right?”
