I think people would be blown away by what we disabled folks would be capable of if the world just met us halfway to meet our employment modification needs. I literally would only need a very flexible work schedule, retraining, and insurance that’s not tied to work. I’m sure you can relate!

Good advice. There are some hills I‘m willing to die on, though. I already know I’m not going to be changing minds-but racism I will not let slide. I recently got into a flame war with a relative over dumb racist shit she said. Did I feel terrible afterwards? Of course. Was it worth it? Absolutely. 

I actually went to the website hoping that there might really be some resources for someone like me-I won’t get into my demographics but-as I’ve said before I’m disabled.

This, and same goes for doctors. I have met so many doctors who seem to care less about medicine. They’re obviously there because it pays well or the prestige or because dad said to become a doctor. Been chronically ill for the past 19 years.
