I’m fine with this when the medical field acknowledges that they are just as racist and classist as the cops AND the medical field starts treating everyone equally, no matter your race, class, religion, gender expression, weight, physical or mental abilities or age.

I agree! I’ve eaten at Nobu a few times and the food is delicious and the service is impeccable. Foodies knew about it way before the gossip columns did. 

Saying “just so you know, I am a (insert name of persecuted group here)” does not make anything one says after that any less anti-black or racist.

I think that’s exactly why, as CatsPyjamas said, we should appeal to feminists who may just hold ignorant views for generational or cultural reasons. If we (as we so often do on the left) assume everyone who doesn’t think like us is an enemy it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.

This. It’s why I’m so disappointed in JK. I worked in a bookstore when Millenials were kids. HP was their whole world-and taught them about accepting people for who they were. The writer has no empathy for her audience.
