To anyone (especially you white progressives) who is afraid of defunding the police: work for full reparations. The police who you think protect your belongings (they really don’t but that is a whole other commentary) won’t be necessary when everyone’s needs are met.

As Ashley said, they act like a cult, and the cops seem to truly think their job is the ultimate public good, so of course to them not showing up is a threat.
