I don’t know if I would blame primaries...I really think America has a fundamental problem with women in leadership positions. I mean we are barely considered people here. Bundles of cells have more rights than we do.

I really, really don’t think moderates are asking us to dream smaller. The polls show many of them believe in the same things we do.

All candidates are “terrible.” It’s politics. And YES the bar IS low. It has to be. If you want to be a purist, I suggest other areas of interest where that quality might be useful. In politics it is not.

It is a good hobby. We thank you for it.

Just voted for Pete. Part of his appeal for me is how much this site hates him. 

These shows filled with excessive violence seem to me to be that way because of a lack of good storytelling. If your writer has to make a horrific historical event worse than it actually was in order to move the narrative then she should go back to her day job.

This is absolutely the right attitude. I have complex PTSD and spent years isolating myself. I now realize that I AM safer when I reach out or allow others to reach out to me. It’s also a way to build trust and to realize that 99.9% of people are totally OK. 

Often the abuse starts with financial manipulation/control.

I completely disagree with this assessment, and I think the fact that the Dems have failed to control the process ensures that we’re going to have 4 more years of misery.
