Family and chores will be taking up most of my time this weekend, but if I have time I'll spend it either continuing my playthrough of New Vegas, where I'm currently exploring Big MT, or I'll fire up another game of Civ 5 which I just purchased a couple weeks ago. I'm loving a lot of the new mechanics in the game,

Poor Mike, he was too beautiful for this world.

We're out of Ermey - will Todd Palin do?

Me too! Woot, Zebuluns represent!

The last episode ends with him putting on his robes, about to walk on water, then fade to black.

Not quite, Girard still snuck in there, but it doesn't mean you can't still threaten him with a guillotining.

Happy snow day, Gameological! I hope everyone is toasty and safe! First up, the most-commented article this week was actually last week's newswire about Sonic's newfound fashion sense with 230 comments. Now for the Top 5:

I wooed my then-girlfriend, now-wife in high school on a competitive Doom server me and the other computer nerds had set up; I still have fond memories of spending lunch period blasting away at each other. Nowadays when we're feeling competitive we'll fire up Mario Kart on the Wii and run a few races. I frequently

I'm partial to Zak McKracken and the Alien Mindbenders because it has such a pulpy feel, and because it gives you an instant understanding of exactly what kind of game it is. Myst is another title that I think is immediately evocative of the game's atmosphere - shrouded and otherworldly.

Why the hell not? Do you know which article, or have a link to the comment?

I got Parasite Eve Sic Semper Tyrannis Derivative: Furtive Ferret. I can't imagine how wonderful that game would be.

Welcome to the first Keyboard Geniuses of February! Our most-commented article this week was the WAYPTW thread which currently has 360 comments. And here's the Top 5 Most Liked (non-KG) Comments:

Man the throne room was fun. That and the palace from the original game.

I'm a huge Civ4 addict but I've avoided 5 for technological reasons. And now work just got me a shiny new laptop and 5 just happens to go on sale? Sweet. I'll be downloading that (and maybe that CKII pack as well) and that will probably be my weekend. However, I'll probably take some time in New Vegas where I'm

I just went looking and found the 2K\Sounds directory on my laptop. They're all there in MP3 - time to set some new ringtones!

The Nimoy recording of that is one of my special joys in this world.

Ditto on the hope, but that video up there doesn't fill me with confidence. That whole "bridge-escape" sequence felt like an extended QTE to me.

The estimates are that 1% of the population is some form of intersex. Estimates on transgender vary, but I've seen numbers that say from 1% to 5% of people experience some form of gender dysphoria. Coming into a discussion of transgender issues and making a statement like this commenter did, that genetics give you
