Yes, you’re correct.
Yes, you’re correct.
It’s hard to judge unless you were the one living it.
Put yourself in the same situation as this guy and you would’ve hit the wheel too. Not only is this obstacle completely unexpected, but there wasn’t even enough time to process it and make a decision on what inputs to give to the bike. The only real option was to hit it.
“Normally my gut would say to go with either the Mercedes E63 wagon or the Audi RS6. But as capable as those wagons are, they both feel like big cars. I would have you consider the Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo Turbo."
That would depend on the true condition of the Viper and the insured value. Torching your attached garage is a risky way to score some (eventual) cash.
My wife drove my in-laws 5 year old CRV around the block while they were away, just to run it. Twenty minutes later, after she left, it burst into flames and burned down in their driveway. It’s weird but this can happen.
Lol, the thought hadn’t crossed my mind until now. You have to admit though that the Viper is a car that is always looking for a way to kill its occupants. Why settle for only wrapping you around an oak tree when it can also burn you to death while you sleep?
ehhh, if a Camry caught on fire and took out the garage and another car, then huge red flag. But a Viper trying to do it seems par for the course.
Okay but am I the only person who thinks this sounds like insurance fraud?
Yeah, I do 9 and 3 but I never wrap my thumbs around the steering wheel. I’m not trying to destroy my hands.
Yup, I’ve always hated that about modern auto safety/driving instruction. I’m in the insurance industry, the biggest cost to us is injuries, so of course IIHS lobbies for ways to prevent injuries, more so than to prevent the losses in the first place. I’ll happily drive my wrapped company car around with my hands at 9…
It depends on the car but a 2000 Civic Si would work just fine using this method. I see a few other comments stating the exact opposite of this, but I’ve been driving 90's Japanese 4-bangers for a decade and they are all capable of taking off from a standstill in this manner. I’ve taught plenty of people using this…
I’ve only tried to learn manual once, 15 years ago in a 2000 Civic Si. But this line “without touching any other pedal, release the clutch until it moves on its own power”, wouldn’t it just stall?
Only knew the name from watching 3D Botmaker. Went and got the Lancia last week. This is a guy who obviously loved what he did.
I wish for a day to buy a civic type r without any markup. Or any other jalop popular cars .
Manufacturers sell directly to dealers, dealers mark up the price and resell to consumers. Maximizing the amount of markup they can get away with is their entire business model on the sales side, and is what makes them the money to do with as they please
