Thank you. I know it’s a very sensitive topic for people, and trying to get across a tone of playful and silly rather than hateful is difficult on the internet. I’m taken much more seriously on the internet than I should be.

I’ll nitpick this: the other reason the statues were put in place is to constantly have the reminder that a large section of the population was willing to go to war to keep slaves. Which has the double purpose of keeping the antagonism alive, and reminding whole swaths of people that they were considered cattle.

An HVAC system should only have one filter in series. So either a filter on the return vents, or one at the furnace/air handler. If your return air filter is doing its job (sized properly, changed regularly, and isn’t too restrictive), a supply side filter will not benefit you.
