I mean, he also was accused strangling a lady until she passed out. It's not in the doc, but I'm not one to try to assume that people only commit murder for logical reasons.

Since watching the show I have done a small bit of research on the case. Nothing too thorough, but I've seen some stuff not in the documentary that makes me think Steven maybe did it, but but was still set up by police and didn't get a fair trail.
