Absolutely necessary. Hit a turn sideways at full throttle and see how well that works for you.

after Daigo Saito, one of the top drifters in the world, switched to a C6 Corvette

People went with what they saw on TV.

So I guess you missed the video in the article about how the top drifter in D1GP switched to a Corvette.........

always wondered the same thing when the whole LS swap thing took off. I thought why don’t they just use the car that the LS came in?

Kinda surprised the US drift scene didn’t start with old Vettes. Other than the dimensions of the car, it seems perfect for it.

Buddy bought a hurricane Sandy C5Z and we rebuilt it. you could see the water line was up to mid-steering wheel. Gutted and rebuilt back to factory spec to get it registered for street in MA (awful process). With the chassis it ended up costing about $12k. Not bad. Now it’s a great HPDE car. The chassis (even steel)

Because they run into a lot of stuff.

I too, am coming to this realization first-hand. I have owned my ‘55 Bel-Air for 6 years and have spent more than I care to admit on making it a “Grand Tourer”, i.e., a classic that drives like a modern car.

Something many younger people don’t know and older people don’t remember, old cars kinda sucked. They were hot, smelly, chugged gas like light beer, drove like shit, and weren’t powerful.

New camrys will cost 6 figures by 2068 anyway :)

Check is in the mail Alex. Thanks again.

I 3D printed a whole car:

As an Evo person (and current 9MR owner) for a stock variant, this one is fine. Being out and a daily I think puts it a bit high, but NYC has it’s own bubble with everything. I’ll say this. No one but idiots like me (that is, people who truly love the Evo) really wants one. Mitsubishi found this out. Subaru got by

Over 20k$...... hmmmmm

Instead of a Gallardo, why not a Diablo / Murcielago / R8?
