Buddy bought a hurricane Sandy C5Z and we rebuilt it. you could see the water line was up to mid-steering wheel. I too, am coming to this realization first-hand. I have owned my ‘55 Bel-Air for 6 years and have spent more than I care to admit on making it a “Grand Tourer”, i.e., a classic that drives like a modern car.
Something many younger people don’t know and older people don’t remember, old cars kinda sucked. They were hot, smelly, chugged gas like light beer, drove like shit, and weren’t powerful.
New camrys will cost 6 figures by 2068 anyway :)
