I shouldn’t have used to the word “twist”. It’s just that there’s barely any plot at all and it’s pretty anti-climatic. Here’s the plot: your sister is gay, your parents aren’t okay with that, your sister left with her girlfriend that was about to leave for the army. That’s really it, oh and the mom may have a thing

The only reason it gets such high “journalistic” praise (if you can even call game reporters that these days) is because of the featuring of an LGBT storyline. Other than that, it’s a rather drab and dull “explore the house” student project.

I think I figured it out just by watching the trailer, but I don’t want to know because I still might end up playing it.

Not what I said. Good try though.

Yeah don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t terrible, we saw it through to the end so it must’ve been doing something right, it was just so underwhelming when looked at as a whole. My brother is a game developer and I told him, “you wanna get tons of easy, free press? Make your main character somewhere on the gender spectrum

The main character doesn’t even have a cool name like Cypher Rage, 2/10.

I guess I should say it’s very anti-climatic. We expected to be moved at least somewhat after all the praise it got, but yeah, it was pretty underwhelming.

Yeah, same. I don’t get why it gets so much praise with its clichéd story. And the storytelling is kinda meh as well, a ghost voice that triggers in certain places.

No but they should at least be interesting.

While I totally get where you’re coming from, I don’t pretend the games are free.

Spoilers: there’s no spoilers in Gone Home. You can figure it out very early what’s going on. No twists. My girlfriend and I were like, “...that’s it? Yeah, we know... That’s it?!”

Send a notice out to anyone who needs to fulfill some court ordered community service hours. Maybe this will count towards it.

What is with all the extra ads on mobile? 5 sec unskippable before I can get to Kotaku, ad banners on video, ads above and below and and the really weird ones under the comments.

Copy that and I will. It’s been tough the past couple of days to see all the coverage showing Bernie supporters as violent maniacs. People were not acting their best on Saturday, but it is not nearly as one-sided as what is being published. There were significant errors on both sides.

I’m sorry, I have to say something. I’m a Bernie supporter, and a longtime Jezebel reader, AND I was there in the room. I shot some videos that have been aired on major networks, and I actually have a relatively neutral perspective. Could you please interview me for an alternate view of what happened, instead of just

Nailed it.

It is kinda funny, how we’re talking about drama, and you’re like “Here’s my email, send me drama”

So that means you’re going to be doing exactly what you call out in the article by covering more YouTube drama for page views? Love it.
