Agreed, not sure what made the Channing-Dewan photo even worthy of mention.

Sorry but this just reeks of entitled white male syndrome.

First off, I just want to say that it's ok to not be happy, sometimes it's just the ups and downs of life. I'm not trying to minimize your pain, but I feel like sometimes North American culture places and unrealistic (and unnecessary) emphasis on this notion of being happy all the time. then there's something wrong

I think it's actually quite simple really, it goes beyond the fact that Obama is black. For the first time in America, white people (especially white males) have been truly confronted with the fact that they are no longer in control of things, and it's literally like their whole worldview has collapsed - violently.

Agreed. I thought she was awkward. She could have totally joked off what he was saying, but her seemingly concerned attitude that people might actually think she has a drinking problem seemed strange and a little too protest-y. The fact that she actually said "this is not a good way to promote my show" was weird.

Meh, the gay guy on the same episode of X Factor who did "New York State of Mind". He was AMAZING.

While I do agree with the overall tone and message of this article, I just thought I should point out that technically references to her and Weight Watchers do fall under the umbrella of her as a businesswoman since she's getting paid to being a spokesperson for them.

If this article was secretly written by Emily Gilmore, I actually totally love it. If it's not, it just makes me sad that Jezebel would post something by someone so disconnected.

Agreed and awesome.

Hey Lindy, I love your writing and I find your Dirt Bag commentary IMMENSELY more readable than other authors.

Gimme some sugar is right, my understanding is the bags are a HUGE cash cow and where most of the money comes from.

I haven't seen Hunger Games yet, but that video pitch just seemed like cobbled together gibberish.

The reason why sgeb wouldn't care if he was a richie rich as opposed to a young BLACK billionaire, is because when you throw race into the equation, especially black, it takes precedence over everything else, and that's not just from a black person's perspective. In fact, it's pretty much from everyone else's

Responding to get your comment moved up so more people will see the link to the change.org petition. Just signed it myself.

Agreed. I can't remember if it was on here, but I remember reading about a study where most men said they think brunettes are more attractive and intelligent, but that they preferred blondes because they seemed easier and more sexually available. :| No winners...

Agreed. As far as I'm concerned this is not even one of her top ten tracks, and I still love it. She's amazing.

Sorry, but then you sound like a scam. Any modelling agency that charges that much for a portfolio is not on the up and up.

A lot of the major women players, one of the Williams sisters include (don't remember which one), has asked to play best of 5, that they absolutely wouldn't have a problem with that.

I agree, if her point was that there isn't enough roles for women she should have said that, but I don't understand how I'm supposed to be upset that she lost out on a role to Queen Latifah.

Genius. I love this site sometimes.
