Ant-Man was great!  One of my favorites in all the MCU.  Sadly I thought the follow-up was underwhelming.

They didn’t want to pay him while starting a rebuild, and the Bears were supposed to be worse so they expected a higher draft pick.  It’s...defensible.  Not smart, but defensible.

I don’t watching wrestling enough anymore to die on this hill, but I have never once watched Luke Harper wrestle and thought he was anything more than a solid big man. Like, he’s pretty good, but he’s not some obvious main-eventer that WWE has inexplicably buried.

You know you don’t have to watch, right?  Not to mention read reviews of each episode, let alone comment on them.

I thought this was, by far, the best episode of the season. It started off great, as Keenan slayed the cold open and Elba stayed within himself (likable and occasionally funny) in his monologue. This was the best game show sketch since Tom Hanks on Black Jeopardy, as in addition to being funny it also captured the

I rank it second behind the first Avengers movie. And while such things are subjective, I reject any ranking that has it lower than 5th.

I mean, Harper’s had some Dunn-esque seasons at the plate, but he also easily cleared 300 in 2 of the past 4 season, and his career BA is 15 points higher than Dunn’s single-season high. And Dunn was an abject disaster in the field at any position, Harper’s defense is average-to-good when he’s not in a contract year.

Holy shit is that label going to lead to a fucking lawsuit. I hope the beer sells well because they’ll need the profits to pay their legal fees.

Man...you really have a thing for Glenn Close, huh?  I didn’t see The Wife or The Favourite, so I have no dog in this fight.  But if it makes you feel better I think we all now agree she deserved the Oscar for Fatal Attraction over fucking Cher in Moonstruck.

Best line I heard regarding Ser Pounce’s death:

Ancient Egypt...so, mass slavery and death to build giant tombs for your rulers when they die?

This study isn’t *quite* meaningless, but it’s pretty close to it. “Ultra-processed foods” is too broad a category to draw any really significant conclusions; for example there may be one particular food type or substance causing problems meaning the “ultra” processing isn’t the issue. Also, the group that died

Get rid of all the short films (doc, animated, live action) because most of the audience doesn’t watch these anyways.  Ditto sound editing and sound mixing.  Cut the live performances for best original song.  BOOM!  Three hours.

Stephens are so smart they don’t even understand what sound “ph” is SUPPOSED to make.

Boogie and John Wall seem like the Knicks-iest possible moves.

Boogie seems destined to end up on the Knicks before his career is over.

PUT MORGAN FREEMAN IN THE SUIT YOU COWARDS!!!

Sure, 10 year contracts are risky, as sometimes hitters just fall off a cliff at age 30/shortly thereafter. But Harper is an athletic guy so the risk seems rather low. And while he hit “only” .249 last year it came with a .393 OBP, power, and good baserunning (and lousy defense, which may or may not have been related

Because hitters tend to peak in their late 20s, Harper is entering his age 26 season, has one monster season in the bank (2015), plus three really good ones (including 2017; not sure why you think 319/413/595 is “lackluster”). Hitters this good and this young just don’t hit the FA market very often, you have to have a

Ummm...have you already forgotten last year’s US Open Finals?
