My man, if you think this shit works, you a bigger Pats homer than Bill Simmons. Which I thought was completely fucking impossible, and yet here we are.

Came to say this, but you said it better.
If Pizza Hut had existed in the early 1900s, you KNOW Taft would have been the first!
Shopping malls!
I assume a “Japanese table” is one that’s been lit on fire? Are there thumb tacks involved? Either way it still feels like the Deadspin staff is getting off light here.
First, I love how you put the quotes around John instead of Papa, as if his real name is Papa and nickname is John.
Ah, got it. Thanks for the response!
I couldn’t get more than 5 minutes into it. But now I understand why. Gotta call up “that friend” and watch it again.
I see two issues:
Just found this:
It’s hard to tie things like TV ratings and attendance directly to the protests, though the owners have tried to do so. There is at least some evidence to it relating to lower ratings, though *saying* you’re less likely to watch football doesn’t mean you actually are:
Daredevil season 1 was weak until Fisk showed up. Season 2 was weak whenever Punisher and/or Fisk wasn’t present. It’s biggest problem is Matt Murdock is by far the least compelling character on the show. Karen, Foggy, Stick, Claire, all the bad guys...they were just much more interesting than Murdock. Not sure how…
I mean, it was solid. Gave fans (like my wife) closure. Fantastic is a strong word...
This show was fine. My wife loved it, my feelings were somewhere between tolerance and mild amusement. The movie was decent, and should have been the end of it (we got closure, damnit!). Can’t we just all move on? I don’t want to be dragged into a miniseries...
Alas, I think this show has jumped the shark. I loved seasons 1 and 2, thought 3 was good but not great. This season has been disappointing.
Recently got into The War on Drugs. Been into the National for awhile, super excited to see them for the first time in DC at The Anthem.
Please sir, give me your take on Other Voices. My wife loves that song, and I have to say it’s growing on me, I like it more every freakin’ time I hear it.
I like Radiohead and Coldplay (really just some of both), but I do not agree with this statement. Can you elaborate a little? Or is it one of those things where one just won’t see it if they don’t on the initial take?
LCD Soundsystem: Other Voices. I like this song more every time I fucking hear it.
I’m laughing like a fucking lunatic at this. Thank you...
